Vasilyev Valery Pavlovich - born November 18, 1947 in Laishevo village of Laishevsky district of the Tatar ASSR. Graduated from Kazan Agriculture Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1970.

1970 - 1971 - mechanical engineer of Capital Construction Department in Agricultural Executive Committee Laishevsky District Council of employees` deputies of the Tatar ASSR.

1971 - 1977 - head engineer of state farm "Volzhsky", then - chairman of collective farm "Path of Ilyich", - director of collective farm "Russia".

1977 - 1985 - Second, then First Secretary of Laishevsky Regional Committee of the CPSU of the TASSR.

1985 - 1986 - director of department of Agriculture and Food Industry of Tatar Oblast Committee of the CPSU.

1986 - 1988 - first Deputy Chairman of State Agro-Industrial Committee of the TASSR, Minister of the TASSR.

1988 - 1989 - first secretary of Rybno-Slobodsky Regional Committee of the CPSU of the TASSR.

1989 - 1995 - first deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the TASSR, first Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan (TASSR).

1995 - 1996 - Chief of the Control Administration of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

1996 - 1999 - acting Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of the Republic of Tatarstan.

1999 - 2001 - acting Chairman, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for State Property Management.

2001 - 2009 - Minister of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan.

March, 2009 - deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Awarded by the order "Sign of Respect".

Honored employee of agriculture of the Russian Federation.
